Social media platforms slammed for snubbing antisemitism inquiry

Richard Lancaster, counsel assisting the antisemitism royal commission, has given a serve to social media platforms that have not co-operated, or whose engagement with the inquiry has been “insufficient having regard to [the] nature of assistance sought”.
Lancaster noted the need for a regulatory regime robust enough to deal with companies at the “extreme end of [the] spectrum” in their disregard of Australian regulators and community expectations.
