‘Shocking disrespect and disregard’: Bondi inquiry blasts Musk’s X

The barrister leading the Bondi terror attack royal commission has blasted Elon Musk’s social media platform X for what he called a shocking disregard for the Australian community in refusing to account for its failure to crack down on online hate.
In forthright comments to the commission on Friday, Richard Lancaster questioned whether X Corp has a social licence to operate in Australia and said the company formerly known as Twitter had failed to engage with the inquiry despite extensive evidence showing it was a vector for antisemitism.
